Automated Valuation Models (AVM) – An AVM is a residential Valuation Report that can be obtained in a matter of seconds. It is a technology driven report. The product of an automated valuation technology analysis, public record data, and computer decision logic combined to provide a logical calculated estimate of a probable selling price of a residential property.

Broker Price Opinion (BPO) – A BPO is a valuation produced by a licensed real estate professional. Comparison of the subject property’s dwelling characteristics and condition with similar properties that have been currently listed and recently sold are used to help determine an opinion of value.

Real Estate Appraisals – A real estate appraisal is an opinion of value, usually market value, of a subject property produced by a licensed or certified appraiser. A real estate appraisal is more complex in nature than an AVM or BPO and is usually reported on a uniform report form. A real estate appraisal may take into account the quality of the property, values of surrounding properties, and market conditions in the area.
